Logan County's tobacco-farming heritage and small-town demographics have pushed its presidential margins steadily rightward over two decades, reaching R+55 in 2024 — roughly double the gap recorded at the turn of the century.
The unraveling was not abrupt. The Democratic margin in Logan County peaked at fifty-one points in 1948; it narrowed steadily over the late twentieth century.
